Prairie Leaf

Local hydroponic greens, grown year-round in Saskatchewan

Fresh, Locally Grown Filipino Greens

Prairie Leaf is a small indoor growing project near Weyburn, focused on producing fresh Filipino vegetables like kang kong, talbos ng kamote, and more. Instead of being shipped long distances, our goal is to grow and harvest these vegetables locally, so they're more consistent, fresher, and ready to cook!

How it's grown

Prairie Leaf uses indoor hydroponic systems to grow greens year-round. This allows precise control over water, nutrients, and cleanliness, with no soil and minimal waste

Fresh. Local. Consistent.

Kang kong

A popular leafy green used in many Filipino and Asian dishes. Best when fresh--tender, crisp, and quick to cook.

Dahon/talbos ng kamote

Mild, tender greens often used in soups and sautéed dishes. Fresh leaves have a softer texture and cleaner taste.

Saluyot

A traditional leafy vegetable known for its rich texture in soups. Quality drops quickly after harvest, making freshness especially important.

Kulitis

A nutritious, spinach-like vegetable used in a variety of dishes. Fresh harvests are softer and less bitter.
